Description
Belfast, the cracking capital of Northern Ireland, has so much to offer. As the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, the city is packed with exhibits and attractions that celebrate its rich maritime history. Included is a visit to the Titanic Belfast experience, an absolute must when visiting Belfast.
Itinerary
Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way to Cairnryan to catch the ferry to Belfast. The ferry journey takes approximately 3 hours. We will then make our way north to our hotel in Belfast, the 4-star Stormont Hotel.

Tuesday: This morning we have a local guide join us for a guided tour of Belfast on our coach. The afternoon can be spent at leisure in the city. Why not enjoy the Botanic Gardens, home to the fabulous Tropical Ravine and Palm House glasshouse with tropical plants and birds of paradise to see? The Gardens are also home to the Ulster Museum, which features collections of art, history and natural science. Admire some of the city’s stunning landmarks, including the striking Belfast Cathedral (known locally as St Anne’s), the beautiful Belfast Castle, which is set on the slopes of Cavehill Country Park, or the distinctive City Hall, which happens to be on our hotel’s doorstep!
Why not explore Crumlin Road Gaol, the former prison, to learn the history of the site, see the underground tunnel that led to the Crumlin Road Courthouse and pay a visit to the execution cell!

Wednesday: This morning we take a remarkable ocean drive along the Antrim Coast Road with its unspoilt views of the Irish Sea and Glens of Antrim to visit Giants Causeway. Renowned for its polygonal columns of layered basalt, it is the only World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland. Resulting from a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, this is the focal point for a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has attracted visitors for centuries and harbours a wealth of local and natural history.

Thursday: Today we visit Belfast’s Titanic Quarter where we visit the world-famous Titanic Belfast, which tells the Titanic story though nine interactive galleries. After, we visit the Titanic Distillery for a 60 minute fully guided tour of the distillery with a sensory experience and tasting of the award-winning Irish spirits.

Friday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel this morning and make our way south to Belfast ferry port for our crossing over to Cairnryan. We will make adequate comfort stops from Holyhead, until we arrive back in Leicestershire.
