Additional Information
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place on Edinburgh Castle’s doorstep, high above the skyline. The cobbled approach is on an incline and the venue's seating is tiered. For this reason, patrons with limited mobility, those with heart or respiratory problems and those that suffer from vertigo, may find access more challenging. However, we do not want anyone to miss out, so if you are in any doubts whatsoever about the venue accessibility, we recommend that you contact us to discuss your particular requirements.City of Edinburgh
Transfers from the hotel into Edinburgh city centre are included, where you will have ample free time at leisure. The compactness of the city means that the limitless number of attractions can be easily be explored on foot, including the famous Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Princes Street Gardens and of course Edinburgh Castle, built on a volcanic crag and dominating the city!

Edinburgh Tattoo
After an early dinner we transfer you to Edinburgh Castle for an evening performance of the Royal Military Tattoo, undoubtedly Scotland's most spectacular event! Enjoy music from the popular Massed Pipe Bands, the swirl of the colourful tartans, world-class dancers, the beating of drums and marvellous displays from the Massed Military Bands. Please note: The entrance to the Tattoo is by an inclined, cobbled esplanade. Access to your seats is through the castle and will involve walking and staircases, some with steep inclines. (This excursion is not included in our Freedom of Edinburgh package.)
