Excursions
FULL DAY: Today we take a leisurely drive to nearby Duxford and a visit to the Imperial War Museum. This famous former WWI & WWII airfield has been transformed over the years and now includes some of the most iconic aircraft in the world. Exhibits include the legendary Spitfire and Lancaster, the fastest-ever Concorde, and the American B52 Bomber - plus hundreds of other aircraft and artefacts that tell the story of aviation development over the past 100 years.
FULL DAY: A fascinating day in store as we head for Bletchley Park, the top secret code-breaking centre that was set up at the beginning of WWII. It provided vital information to the allied forces during the entire war and proved instrumental in the success of the D-Day Landings of 70 years ago. We have included a guided walking tour that explores several of the more 'famous' huts and buildings as your local expert explains how it all worked.
FULL DAY: Today we visit Cambridge, the ancient city of learning, with its many famous past scholars that helped shape the world we live in today.
