Looking for somewhere a little different in 2024? Then this brand new tour to the Spa Triangle of Western Bohemia of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázne and Františkovy Lázne is just for you! The Czech Republic has long had a tradition of high quality spa care and natural therapies to revitalise body and soul and to recharge the batteries. You will experience the incarnation of spa elegance in these wonderfully grand old resort towns and a world of sophistication, complete with ornate spa houses, imposing colonnades with mineral springs, exquisite, blossom-filled gardens and a generous helping of high culture. All this is combined with a full day out in historic Prague.

Crusader Holidays uses an interchange system, taking place at either Beaconsfield Services (M40), South Mimms Services (M25/A1M) or Thurrock Services (M25).

Here you may have to change to your holiday coach and we are renowned for ensuring that this is smooth and efficient.

The holiday coaches typically depart from Beaconsfield Services at 11.15, Thurrock Services at around 09.30 and South Mimms Services at 10.30. Some customers find it more convenient to join direct at the interchange, please let is know when booking if this is the case.

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Then continue into Germany for your overnight stop. BB

Day 2 - Head through Germany today to cross into Bavaria and into the western part of the Czech Republic to arrive at your hotel for your centrally located hotel in Karlovy Vary for your 4-night stay. Welcome drink and porterage on arrival. DBB

Days 3 - 5 - At leisure in Karlovy Vary with three included excursions. DBB

Exploring Karlovy Vary
Karlovy Vary is a jewel of a town and enjoys a wonderful layout in the heart of a forested valley. Take a guided walking tour through the centre with an English speaking local guide who will show you the sights of one of Europe's most beautiful spa towns. Admire the grand 19th-century spa architecture and stroll the impressive colonnades where visitors sip on the health-restoring waters from ceramic spouted cups. Housed in a more modern structure, you can witness the Pramen Vrídlo thermal spring spout up to 12 metres high. The magnificent Grandhotel Pupp here in the town featured in the 2006 James Bond film 'Casino Royale'. Enjoy time at leisure in Karlovy Vary for the rest of the day

Out & About in the Spa Triangle
There has been a rich history of famous visitors to this curious corner of central Europe including Edward VII. Today you will tour the smaller spa towns - Mariánské Lázne - a classic spa destination, smaller than Karlovy Vary, and set in a pretty valley on the edge of a forest. Its most popular attraction is the 'Singing Fountain', equipped with more than 250 jets. Onto the spa town of Františkovy Lázne - with its yellow painted buildings, it has something of a miniature Vienna about it. Head back to Karlovy Vary via Cheb, an unexpectedly charming town with its wonderful burgher houses from the 14th century

Prague for the day
Head east to the capital for a day to explore the historic city of Prague. Enjoy an included city tour with a local guide (mostly on foot) to see many of the famous, historic landmarks such as Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and Prague Castle. A 'combi ticket' entrance to the Castle is included which allows access to St George's Basilica, Old Palace and Golden Lane

Day 6 - Bid farewell to the Czech Republic as you travel back across Germany to the final overnight stop. BB

Day 7 - After breakfast, travel back through France to Calais for the return to England

The historic Interhotel Central is a traditional 4* hotel with a privileged location, right in the heart of Karlovy Vary on the Theatre Square, just a short walk from the Colonnade with the famous thermal springs.

There is a cosy lobby bar where can enjoy a cup of coffee or a good Czech beer and a classic-style restaurant serving Czech and internal cuisine.

Guest accommodation is comfortably furnished and features satellite TV, free WiFi, mini safe and hair dryer. Rooms either overlook the historic centre / River Tepla or the hotel's inner courtyard.

There is a large swimming pool, jacuzzi and fitness room. There is a lift. NB tea is included after dinner each night but coffee is chargeable and should be paid locally (approx €5.50).
