Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 09.00hrs for our journey to Bournemouth with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
Tuesday
Morning visit to Athlehampton House and Gardens, nestled in the Piddle Valley, the ancient manor is mentioned in the Domesday Book, the current house was constructed largely in Tudor times although there has been a dwelling on this site since Saxon times, considered one of the finest examples of Tudor architecture in England. In the afternoon we continue our journey through beautiful Dorset countryside to the county town of Dorset, historic Dorchester, birthplace of the famous poet and author Thomas Hardy, explore the town with a heritage dating back to the Iron Age.
Wednesday
Take time to enjoy a day of leisure in the resort today, relax and explore, see what Bournemouth has to offer.
Thursday
Today we travel to the New Forest to visit the 18th century ship building village of Bucklers Hard with a 30min River Beaulieu cruise included and the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, not just for fans of the motor Beulieu offers something for everyone from the Abbey and Palace, to the hundreds of stunning sculptures showcased throughout the Victorian gardens, grounds and the Palace House, enjoy unlimited rides around the site on the open top veteran bus and Britain's oldest monorail complete with spectacular views and commentary.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for the return journey home with a suitable lunch stop en-route.
