Itinerary
Maastricht
Lying close to the border of Belgium and known as the birthplace of the Euro, the city of Maastricht is the capital of Holland's southernmost region, Limburg. It is one of the country's oldest cities, reflected in the historic centre of ancient churches, city walls, monumental merchant houses and charming squares. Maastricht is a delight to explore all year round, but it comes alive during the festive period. The annual Christmas Market provides plenty of Christmas cheer, where the bustling squares are filled with delightful stalls selling gifts and delicious locally-made treats.
Amsterdam
Often referred to as the “Venice of the North” because of its beautiful canals that criss-cross the city, Amsterdam offers visitors an attractive mix of charming architecture, history, culture, and pavement cafés. Why not take a trip to Amsterdam and enjoy the laid back atmosphere?
Amsterdam's delightful architecture can be seen across the city but particularly in the canal district which dates from the 17th century, with a number of different boat tours available to take you around the many pretty tree-lined canals.
