Description

A wonderful opportunity to experience this vibrant annual event, held at the famous castle. The varied live programme includes music from the Scottish Regiments and foreign units. A true spectacle!

Itinerary

DAY 1
After joining your luxury touring coach we head northwards via the Great North Road, pausing for coffee and lunch before continuing to our hotel in good time for dinner.

DAY 2
After breakfast, we cross over the border and arrive in Edinburgh early afternoon. We will offer you the opportunity of on an optional Guided City Tour. This evening we climb the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle and take our seats for the world famous Tattoo. We arrive back at our hotel late evening. On the Sunday departure the visit to the Tattoo will take place on day 3.

DAYS 3 - 4
(5 day holidays only) At leisure with one included excursion. A full day excursion takes us through the dramatic North Pennines countryside passing England’s highest waterfall ‘High Force’ before driving alongside the ancient ‘Hadrian’s Wall’ built in 122AD. We continue by way of the market town of Hexham before returning to our hotel late afternoon.

LAST DAY
We take the fast motorway network homewards, arriving home via the interchange early to mid evening.

Due to the popularity of this holiday we will be using a number of hotels in the North East of England. All will be of a minimum 3 star standard and have similar facilities available.
