Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town and an architectural gem with a lively community feel, busy with events and festivals throughout the year. The historic town centre is situated on a cliff above the River Teme and is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of South Shropshire and the Welsh Marches. Ludlow is an excellent base for this specially planned break with a ride on a restored railway, the fascinating history at Blists Hill and learn and taste the local produce.

Itinerary
Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, heading to Bridgnorth with its Victorian funicular connecting the high and low towns. Then enjoy the travel of a bygone age on the historic Severn Valley Railway to Kidderminster (fare included). From here continue to Ludlow and your hotel for the next 4 nights. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
Days 2 - 4 - At leisure in Ludlow with two included excursions.
The bustling open-air market is held every Monday in Ludlow town square with over forty stalls offering fresh produce, cheeses, books and local crafts.
You may like to visit the impressive Ludlow Castle, dating back to 1085 or just relax at the popular Millennium Green.

Black & White Village Trail
Cross into Herefordshire and follow the black & white village trail, travelling via Mortimers Cross, scene of a historic battle to Eardisland and Pembridge, Lyonshall and Weobley to the historic city of Hereford.
Ironbridge Gorge & Blists Hill Museum
Travel to Telford via Church Stretton and onto the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage listed Ironbridge Gorge, an area so significant to the birth of the Industrial Revolution.
The step back overr 100 years to the recreated Victorian town at Blists Hill Museum (entrance included) - a world full of Victorian characters, demonstrations and original historic monuments. .
Day 5 - First stop is the Ludlow Food Centre, a unique food shopping experience which combines farming, food production and retailing. Then continue to interchange returning home early evening.
