Itinerary
Lakeside Coastal Village
At Lakeside it's the bright courtyard with its coffee shop and bar that lends it a cosy village feel. But it's not the only great place for friends to socialise, with the shuffleboard, croquet, bowls and swimming pool too. Finding a quiet corner is easy though, with the beach on your doorstep and a big lake, perfect for meeting the odd duck!
Day 1 - From your chosen joining point your feeder vehicle will take you to your designated interchange point where your holiday begins. After joining your holiday coach, enjoy a scenic drive to our south coast holiday
resort to arrive late afternoon. Buffet breakfast & dinner included. Please note; Warner no longer include tea/coffee after dinner.
Live entertainment every night plus some daytime activities.
Days 2-4 - At leisure with one included excursion and one optional.
INCLUDED EXCURSION - South Downs Scenic Drive:
Enjoy a gentle drive through the glorious South Downs National Park where you can expect rolling hills and bustling market towns. A stop will be made in ancient Petersfield with its array of individual shops.
Maybe enjoy a moment's peace in the delightful Petersfield Physic Garden, a green oasis on the High Street (open daily FOC). Travel on to lovely Midhurst, a thriving country town with its mix of medieval,
Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Return to Lakeside this afternoon with plenty of time to freshen up for dinner this evening.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION - Maritime Portsmouth:
This is an opportunity to visit a seafaring city that brings together 400 years of maritime history, from the 15th Century to the Victorian era. Portsmouth has the oldest operational naval base in the world,
dating from 1495 and is the best place in the UK to find ships and buildings related to the British navy in the age of sail. The Royal Navy helped to make Britain into a global power, and Portsmouth played a key part in this dramatic story.
The Navy’s most famous ships, the Mary Rose and the Victory. Lost in battle of Southsea in 1545, the Mary Rose and its contents make up one of the most important 16th Century collections anywhere,
all beautifully displayed in the new museum. The Victory - preserved because of its associations with Horatio Nelson and Trafalgar - can tell us about what it was like to work and fight aboard a First Rate at the height of the age of sail.
A visit to the Dockyard takes you on a journey through time, allowing you to step onboard historic ships and understand the Royal Navy, past, present and future. Admission not included.
For the ladies - Gunwharf Quays is home to over 90 premium retail outlet stores offering up to 60% off RRP. If you love to shop then there really is no better place than Gunwharf Quays; with famous
brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Mint Velvet and Joules. And when it’s time to relax you’ll find an array of bars, coffee shops and restaurants to tempt you around the world,
from mouth-watering French cuisine at Brasserie Blanc, fresh seafood at Loch Fyne and a host of fine Italian dishes to choose from at Carluccio’s. But if you want even more from your visit to Gunwharf Quays then
there’s Vue Cinema, Bowlplex, a 24-hour health and fitness club, a contemporary art gallery and a nightclub and casino.
Day 5 - After breakfast rejoin the coach for the homeward journey and with comfort stops on the way you will be back in your home towns mid evening.
