Description
Weymouth’s history is fascinating. Look up just about anywhere in town and you’ll see some historical feature – from locally carved stonemasonry and gargoyles to wooden décor or construction dates on the fronts of strangely shaped buildings. Or stroll through the Nothe Gardens, Weymouth’s Victorian sub-tropical garden overlooking the bay. With views of Portland to the right and Swanage in the distance to the left, these gardens are unique. With the European award-winning coastline of dramatic cliffs, quiet coves, shingle banks and sandy beaches, Dorset offers an unrivalled variety of moods and scenery.
