Ullapool nestles on a small river delta on the shores of the fjord like Loch Broom. Strathpeffer is a unique Scottish town, inspired by the European spa towns of the mid 19th century. There are superb views from the Iron Age hill fort of Knock Farril, of the Cromarty Firth and of the surrounding mountains.
