Description
Tenby is a uniquely attractive resort. Its pastel coloured buildings, narrow streets, fortified walls and the quality of the light from its shimmering bays give it an atmosphere which is reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Its medieval castle was bombarded into submission by Cromwell using artillery on both land and sea and the feeling of a town whose history is much richer than most seaside resorts is very strong as one ambles around the narrow streets or stops for a drink in one of the many bars or cafés. Tenby has a delightful harbour and four magnificent beaches. Nearby is Caldey Island monastery, a "must" to explore during your stay.

EXCURSIONS INCLUDED
Full Day Excursion to Haverfordwest and St David's
Haverfordwest is delightfully situated on the River Cleddau and boasts a Norman castle and a wide range of restaurants and cafes. St Davids is situated on the far south west coast of Wales; although technically a city due to its magnificent cathedral, St Davids is actually an attractive village, set amongst beautiful coastal scenery.
Full Day Excursion to Laugharne and Carmarthen
Laugharne (pronounced Larne) is the former home of the poet Dylan Thomas, immortalised in his work "Under Milk Wood", but it is interesting in itself as an ancient town with a Welsh castle and quaint winding streets.
Half Day Excursion to Narberth
A delightful small town with an intriguing museum, an atmospheric castle ruin, a wide range of quirky independent shops, and a distinctive former town hall and gaol, which resembles a boathouse. There is a Friday market in the Queen’s Hall.
