Description
Eastbourne is one of Britain's more elegant resorts, enjoying a glorious location on the South Coast. Because it is sheltered by Beachy Head and the South Downs it has an excellent sunshine record, always coming around the top of the sunshine league. It has a spacious promenade to stroll along and the world-famous Carpet Gardens line the seafront. Eastbourne has clean inviting beaches predominantly of shingle leading to sand at low tide and offering excellent bathing. There's plenty to see and do with first class shops, museums, carnivals, shows, concerts, dancing in the Winter Gardens and cinemas. There is also a large variety of sporting facilities, whether you want to play or spectate, such as boating, bowls, golf, putting, and walking on the South Downs.
Itinerary
TOUR OPERATES SUNDAY TO SATURDAY
EXCURSIONS INCLUDED
Full Day Excursion to Battle & Carr Taylor Vineyard
Battle was the site of William the Conqueror’s victory over Harold. Follow the history trail around the village to learn how the battle unfolded. We then visit nearby Carr-Taylor Vineyard, where we receive an informative and entertaining tour of the vines and the winery (included in tour cost).

Full Day Excursion to Rye & Hastings
Today Rye is best known for its Thursday market but historically it was one of the Cinque Ports and the home for many years of the novelist Henry James. We then visit Hastings, which has undergone extensive regeneration in recent years, and features a new £15m pier, several museums and galleries, a cliff railway, and delightful shops in the Old Town.

Full Day Excursion to Brighton,
famous for its graceful Regency buildings, the exotic iron-domed Pavilion built by the Prince Regent, its two piers and the enticing series of byways, known as 'The Lanes', with their many small antique and craft shops.
