Description
Hidden on the North Yorkshire Coastline, Bridlington is an award-winning traditional seaside resort. Boasting two sandy beaches either side of the historic harbour and award-winning promenades, this is a true seaside gem. The harbour is a hive of activity with colourful fishing boats, pleasure cruises along the heritage coast and speedboat rides across the bay. Head away from the promenade and you will discover the 'old town' which has remained largely untouched and is home to delightful Olde Worlde pubs, antique shops and the 'Old Town Trail'.
Itinerary
Arrival Day: After joining the coach via one of our departure points or our executive Door2Door service, you will be introduced to your professional driver and whisked away in comfort to beautiful Bridlington. We aim to arrive between 3-4pm so that you can relax before your evening meal and settle down for your first night.

Full Day Excursion: Today we head off for an enchanting tour of the spectacular North Yorkshire coast and 'Heartbeat' country and the North York Moors National Park. Our first port of call is the old seafaring town of Whitby with its famous connections to the explorer Captain Cook as well as the spine chilling book Dracula. From here we meander into the moors and deep valleys of 'Heartbeat' country where we come to Goathland, Aidensfield in the long running TV series, before descending to the ancient market town of Pickering.

Free Day in Resort: Free time to explore and enjoy your holiday resort, Bridlington. Spend time perusing the antique shops and art galleries or take refreshments in the resorts tearooms or Olde Worlde pubs. Why not follow the 'Old Town Trail' where you can explore some of the fine heritage Bridlington has to offer. For those feeling adventurous why not make your way to nearby Flamborough Head where you can marvel at the rugged white cliffs and two ancient lighthouses.

Full Day Excursion: After breakfast we visit the highlights of Yorkshire's Heritage Coast. First we head for the Victorian seaside resort of Scarborough, straddled between two majestic bays and dominated by an impressive headland. Scarborough is thought to be one of the world's first seaside resorts when health-giving properties of spa waters were discovered. It is also home to two of the worlds first purpose built hotels - the Grand and the Crown. After lunch we head back along the coast to the quieter resort of Filey with its golden sweep of soft, golden sand, Edwardian architecture, quirky shops and interesting museum.

Departure Day: Make the most of the wonderful food that is on offer for breakfast this morning. After a fabulous holiday, it's time to bid farewell to your hosts and Bridlington for your journey home, taking wonderful memories with you.
