EXCURSIONS INCLUDED
Full Day Excursion to Bath
We travel a short distance from our hotel to the historical city of Bath, which stands majestically on the banks of the River Avon. Examples of its wonderful architecture include the Roman Baths and elegant Georgian terraces so well known to Jane Austen. We have a guided sightseeing tour included in the tour cost.
Full Day Excursion to the Cotswolds
We head north past Cheltenham today for our Cotswolds journey via the villages of Evesham and Broadway, where honey coloured limestone buildings line the main street. Moreton-in-the-Marsh is a busy Cotswold market town and Stow-on-the-Wold is famous for its antique shops. Bourton-on-the-Water is perhaps the most visited of all the Cotswold villages, with its delightful setting beside the River Windrush. We return via Cirencester and Tetbury, which is close to the home of HRH Prince of Wales.
Full Day Excursion to Salisbury and Shaftesbury
Salisbury's history dates back to the nearby Iron Age fort, but it is chiefly famous for having the tallest cathedral spire in England, along with a superbly well preserved medieval town plan with many wooden buildings. Shaftesbury is a famously picturesque village.
