Description
Felixstowe is both a sunny south-facing seaside resort and a modern port, a few miles from Suffolk’s fascinating county town of Ipswich. Its five-mile coastline features one of the country's most important coastal nature reserves,tranquil sandy beaches, a fishing village and a bustling seafront with all the attractions expected of a seaside holiday. It is one of the sunniest places in Britain and also boasts a modern leisure centre, water sports facilities, funfair and a theatre.
Itinerary
TOUR OPERATES SUNDAY TO SATURDAY
EXCURSIONS INCLUDED
Full Day to Excursion to Suffolk Coastal Villages,
visiting Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh, once the home of Benjamin Britten and famous for the music festival which he began.

Full Day Excursion to Cambridge
Conditions permitting, we will have a short stop at the Newmarket Gallops to watch the race horses training before continuing to the dreaming spires of Cambridge. We have a guided tour of the city (included in the tour cost) followed by free time to explore its many delights.

Full Day Excursion to Constable Country and Colchester
Visiting some of the sights of Constable's most famous paintings including East Bergholt and Lavenham on our way to historic Colchester. Britain's oldest town grew from a Roman fortress and still has long stretches of Roman fortifications as well as a splendid Norman keep (the largest in Europe) and interesting sites from the Civil War.

Half Day Excursion to Ipswich
Ipswich is one of England's oldest towns since the Anglo-Saxons landed here around 600AD. The town centre and waterfront boast many heritage buildings and the pedestrian walkways have shops galore!

Marlborough Hotel

Consistently highly praised by our clients, the Marlborough is situated on the sea front, 250 yards south of the pier. All 47 bedrooms have private bath or shower and WC, colour TV with satellite channels, radio, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The lounge bar is the ideal place to relax before enjoying dinner in the Rattan restaurant. Entertainment is provided on one evening during our stay. The lift serves the first and second floors.
