Description

Based in the heart of the Pyrenees you can admire the spectacular mountain views and explore all that Andorra has to offer. With an optional visit to the fortified town of Carcassonne this tour is designed to amaze you.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue through France to our overnight hotel.

DAY 2 Travel to Andorra: After breakfast we continue our journey through France to Andorra arriving at the hotel in the early evening.

DAYS 3-5 At leisure with an included guided tour of Andorra. Andorra: From your hotel you will witness the most beautiful countryside as you surround yourself with pure nature. We board our coach for a tour of Andorra with a local guide. We pass through some lovely scenery and visit Andorra La Vella which is the capital of this small country situated between the French and Spanish borders.

Optional* excursion - Carcassonne: Join us on this optional excursion as we make our way over the French border on to the fortified town of Carcassonne, where we will have time for lunch and sightseeing before returning to our hotel. Carcassonne became strategically identified when the Romans fortified the hilltop around 100 BC. Fortification consists of a double ring of ramparts and 53 towers. From 1844 the

fortifications and Cathedral were the object of an extensive restoration programme designed to save them from abandonment and demolition.

DAY 6 Travel to overnight hotel: After breakfast we depart for our return journey to our overnight hotel.

LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.

Sport Hotel Soldeu

This stunning 4* Sport Hotel is located in the heart of the Pyrenees, in the village of Soldeu, surrounded by the mountains of the Envalira Valley. Facilities at the hotel include a lift, a traditionally decorated restaurant, bar and lounge areas. During the summer months, enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool and garden area. A fitness centre is located in the Sport Wellness Mountain Spa (charges may apply). All 165 en suite bedrooms are well furnished and have satellite TV, telephone & hairdryer.
