Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure stopping for lunch and refreshments en-route, arriving in the early evening for dinner and time to settle into your luxury 4* hotel.
DAYS 2-4 At leisure in resort hotel with three included excursions. Glasgow: Since its regeneration, Glasgow is now Scotland’s biggest city and one of most cosmopolitan in the world. This renaissance with style and culture is a revelation as a growing number of visitors are flocking to visit the cities many attractions, landmarks and historical focal points. The arts scene is thriving in Glasgow with its blend of internationally acclaimed museums and galleries and stunning architecture. With time at leisure for a taste of Glaswegian life and the culture why not visit Tenement House or The Tall Ship Museum in Glasgow’s Harbour which gives an insight into the early days of ship building.
Edinburgh: Today we visit the capital of Scotland and a place where history and natural beauty combine to provide a feast for the eyes and the mind. It’s no wonder that Edinburgh is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. The most popular attraction in Edinburgh and in fact Scotland, is the castle which is built on volcanic rock and stands high above the landscape.
Loch Lomond with optional* boat cruise: Today we explore captivating Loch Lomond, the area is renowned for its beauty and tranquility and offers picture postcard views around every corner. Enjoy an optional cruise on the loch to see the bonnie banks from the water. This afternoon we visit Loch Lomond Shores, home to shops, restaurants, the National Park gateway centre, and the Loch Lomond Aquarium.
The Trossachs & Glengoyne Distillery: Our scenic journey through The Trossachs National Park takes us to the beautiful little towns of Aberfoyle and Callander, ideal of finding gifts in the crafts shops.We return via the famous Glengoyne Distillery where they have been distilling whisky since 1833. Little has changed in the traditional methods that create a good dram. All that remains is to raise a class to the perfect day of Scottish discovery.
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home stopping en route for refreshments, arriving home during the evening.
