A touch of the ‘Blarney’ in this lovely corner of Ireland, A full programme of entertainment at the hotel in Rosscarbery supplemented by included excursions to some of Ireland’s most famous heritage sites.

Itinerary

DAYS 1-2 Departure & Ireland: A morning departure, stopping for lunch en route to our overnight hotel in Wales. Next morning we travel to Holyhead for our ferry to Dublin then head south across Ireland to our hotel in Rosscarbery, County Cork.

DAYS 3-5 At leisure in County Cork with three included excursions. Baltimore and Beyond: Heading southwest from Rosscarbery, the coastal scenery becomes increasingly dramatic. The popular sailing centre of Baltimore is an ideal place for a lunch stop. Mizen Head Peninsula lies at the far southwestern tip of Ireland, and its spectacular scenery includes views over to the world famous Fastnet Lighthouse.

Kinsale: This charming harbour town is home to countless yachts and fishing boats. Its narrow streets are packed with craft shops, and art galleries, and its many seafood bistros have earned this lovely little town something of a reputation as the gourmet capital of Ireland.

Cork and Blarney (entrance to the castle included): Ireland’s second city, Cork, is well worth a visit. The city centre is on an island encircled by two channels of the River Lee, and is packed with gorgeous architecture and great shopping. Just outside Cork, we visit the world-famous Blarney Castle, where legend states you can enjoy the ‘gift of the gab’ with just one kiss of the Blarney Stone.

DAY 6 & LAST DAY: After breakfast we head for Dublin and the afternoon ferry back to Holyhead, then onward to our overnight hotel. Next morning after breakfast we depart for home arriving in the evening.
