Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure stopping for lunch and refreshments en route to our overnight hotel.
DAY 2 Travel to Douglas: We travel through some of the best scenery that the North West can offer, through the Ribble Valley and the Forest of Bowland, en route to Heysham for our ferry crossing to the Isle of Man and our resort hotel.
DAYS 3-5 At leisure with two included excursions. The Isle of Man is a unique self governing kingdom, with its own parliament, traditions, culture and cuisine. As a holiday island it is best known for its very agreeable and relaxed pace of life, along with its wealth of attractions. The Isle of Man offers fabulous scenery, enchanting glens, miles of un-crowded beaches, medieval castles, Victorian railways and trams, beautiful parks and gardens, and fascinating museums and heritage centres. The thriving East Coast town and port of Douglas is the capital of the Isle of Man. The magnificent sweep of Douglas Bay, against the background of green hills, has a charm hard to equal.
Manx Landscape: See the beauty and surprising variety of the Manx landscape whilst we travel through some of the island’s main towns and villages including Laxey, with its famous wheel and woollen mill. You will also have the opportunity to take an optional* Mountain Railway trip to the summit of Snaefell with its view of the five kingdoms. We then continue to Ramsey where you might decide to visit Grove House or remain in the town for sightseeing, before returning to Douglas via the Mountain Road.
Castletown, Cregneash & Calf of Man: We visit Castletown, Cregneash and Calf of Man the most Southern point on the Island.
DAY 6 Travel to overnight hotel: After a day at leisure on the island we depart the Isle of Man onboard the evening ferry to arrive in Heysham late evening.We then go directly to our hotel for our last night. (Please Note: Due to a late arrival at the hotel there is no evening meal included tonight).
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home arriving during the evening.
