Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure stopping en route for lunch before continuing to our hotel.
DAYS 2-3 At leisure with two included excursions.
Bletchley Park: Enjoy a wonderful guided visit to Bletchley Park with a buffet lunch included. After a welcoming tea or coffee you will tour the wartime buildings and grounds and be given a detailed history of the site and the code breaking activities during WW2. After lunch you will visit the Block B museum which houses the Abwehr Enigma machine amongst other famous artefacts from the war. The tour will also include a visit to the Colossus rebuild – the first programmable electronic computer. You will have the opportunity to visit the souvenir and gift shop before taking afternoon tea or coffee with some free time to revisit any exhibits which fascinated you earlier in the day.
Duxford: We visit the world famous Imperial War Museum with over 200 aircraft and military vehicles housed in 7 main exhibition buildings. The historic aerodrome was originally operated during WW1 and played a prominent role in the Battle of Britain.
LAST DAY Travel home via Cambridge: After breakfast we depart for home via a visit to the famous university town of Cambridge arriving home during the evening.
