Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch en-route to our weekend hotel
DAYS 2-3 At leisure with two included excursions. Liverpool: join us on a visit to Liverpool where you will have ample free time to explore or shop at your leisure.
Canal Cruise: We travel to Seacombe where, subject to sailing times, free time will be allowed to explore the town and dock. We then join our cruise ship for a memorable journey along the 35 mile stretch of canal. Enjoy a lively commentary, giving a revealing insight into the facts, the history and the dramas of one of Britain’s major waterways. Our cruise lasts six hours and there are ample facilities aboard to take care of all your needs. On arrival at Salford Quays we join our coach to return to our hotel.
LAST DAY Anderton boat lift with optional* canal cruise & travel home: After leaving the hotel we visit the Anderton boat lift, the world’s first and England’s only working boat lift. Here we offer an optional canal cruise and boat lift (time permitting).We depart for home, arriving during the evening.

In a Georgian setting overlooking the West Pennine Moors, the hotel features a bar, restaurant and lift. The 91 en suite bedrooms offer TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Enjoy free use of the hotels leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool. Porterage, tea/coffee after dinner and a glass of wine with dinner on your first night are also included.
