Visit Bristol, a city rich in history and heritage. Enjoy a weekend break or choose our 5 day holiday and join us as we also visit the historic Georgian city of Bath.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping en route at the quaint Cotswolds village of Burford with its many antique shops. We continue through the quiet countryside, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.

DAY 2 At leisure in the city with optional* Bristol City tour.

DAYS 3-4 At leisure with two included excursions and an optional* city tour. After breakfast you may like to join us on an optional city tour before you enjoy the rest of the day as free time. All the attractions are within good walking distance from the hotel. These include excellent shopping opportunities and Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the fully restored waterfront complex and Bristol’s renowned cathedral (entry fees not included). Join us on 10th August where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, now into its 34th year this is one of Europes largest annual hot air balloon events.Whiteness mass Hot Air Balloon ascents twice daily, air displays, entertainment, trade stalls and an infamous ‘Nightglow’ on Saturday evening. This truly is a spectacular event.

Bath: The Avon Valley has an unchanging peacefulness. Set within its serenity are historic villages, towns and cities including the Georgian city of Bath, dating back to Roman times. Today we visit this city with time to explore its many historic treasures and monuments, beautiful architecture and superb shopping.

Mendip Hills: We journey through the Mendip Hills to the famous Cheddar Gorge.We have time to explore some of the attractions here before we continue to the tiny cathedral city of Wells, England’s smallest city, dominated by its magnificent cathedral.

LAST DAY Travel home via Windsor: After a leisurely breakfast we depart Bristol for our journey home, stopping en route in Windsor for sightseeing and lunch.We arrive home in the evening.
