Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: After a morning departure, we travel to our resort, stopping en route for lunch and refreshments.

DAYS 2-4 At leisure in Bideford with one optional* and two included excursions.

Lynton, Lynmouth Bay & Exmoor National Park: Explore the charming village of Lynmouth at the mouth of the River Lyn. Why not visit the museum or travel to Lynmouth’s twin town Lynton via a cliff railway which links the 2 towns. For those not taking the train we travel on to Lynton. Following this, enjoy Exmoor National Park, one of Britain’s hidden treasures filled with stunning landscapes and tranquility, also home to wild red deer and the native Exmoor pony.

Barnstaple: This morning is at your leisure to explore Bideford. In the afternoon we make the short journey to Barnstaple, a thriving town with fine buildings and hidden alleyways - enjoy free time here to explore.

Optional* excursion - Clovelly & Bude: We depart this morning and travel the short distance to Clovelly. Explore this picturesque and tranquil village with its white washed houses that cling to the hillside, and take a stroll down the traffic free steep high street, which leads to the beautiful 14th century harbour.We then travel on to the seaside town of Bude, which boasts lots of charm and wide sandy beaches situated on the Atlantic Heritage Coast.

LAST DAY Travel home: After a leisurely breakfast, we depart for home, stopping for refreshments, arriving during the evening.

Durrant House Hotel, Bideford

This family run hotel is located on the outskirts of Bideford and offers 125 en suite bedrooms with tea/coffee making facilities, TV and hairdryer. There is a welcoming bar, restaurant and a lift. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness room. Porterage, welcome drink & tea/coffee after dinner are all included.
