Falmouth, steeped in a vibrant maritime history this interesting town will be the perfect base for this exciting holiday. The meandering streets and views of St Mawes will be enhanced by the mild climate and traditional Cornish fare, all of which can be sampled in the town.
Itinerary
‘You choose’ Itinerary- (On each day option 1 is to stay and enjoy Falmouth)
Day 1: Outward travel to Falmouth with a leisurely drive down, arriving during the afternoon with time to settle into your
rooms before evening dinner is served.
Day 2: A day to relax and explore Falmouth and the hotel’s excellent facilities.
Day 3 - Option 2 Visit St Ives, a busy beautiful fishing harbour, described as the jewel in Cornwall’s crown. Drop in on the
Tate Gallery, established in 1993 offering the visitor an introduction to modern art, with special emphasis on the St Ives
School. Or just enjoy the atmosphere and streets of this special place.
Day 4– Option 2 - Visit the Eden Project– an inspirational day out around the world!
Option 3: Travel with us to Polperro, where a surfeit of touristy gift shops do not quite manage to spoil this quaint old
Cornish fishing village, those narrow streets and pretty cottages remain undeniably attractive. Moving onto Looe in the
afternoon, this lovely town is situated on both sides of the River Looe and is joined by the famous bridge across the water.
A walk will be required to visit both of these towns as the coach park is situated a short distance out of town.
Day 5: Day 3: Option 2 Visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan (entry included), the great historic garden of Cornwall –
inspiration for the Eden Project, calling in on Truro on the way back.
Option 3 Enjoy a whole day in Truro, or even catch a boat trip to one of the many attractions in the Fal Estuary.
Option 4 Enjoy a morning and lunchtime visit to Mevagissy calling in on Truro on the way back.
Day 6 on the 7 day tours Option 2: - Today we shall enjoy a half day trip to the end of England– Land’s End followed by
time in either historic Trevarno Estate where you can explore the magnificent gardens, grounds and Woodland walks which
date back to 1246 or the town of Helston.
Day 6 on the 6 day tour: Return home with a leisurely stop enroute.
Day 7: After a leisurely breakfast we start the journey home. To keep our guests in the holiday mood we have planned a
relaxed lunch and leisure stops.
