Description
Our base for this tour is the fairytale town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, on the Romantic Road, which became famous as a trade route from the Bavarian Alps to the old kingdom of Franconia. The cobbled alleys and squares offer a magical impression of medieval Germany as you enter the walled town. There are many museums, including one dedicated to Christmas and there is always a warm welcome in the many bars and cafés. We visit the historic cities of Nuremburg and Bamberg, as well as Dinkelsbühl on the Romantic Road.
