Description
Nestling at the head of Loch Long, an aptly named sea loch which snakes northwards from the Firth of Clyde, Arrochar is a delightful village with attractive stone buildings, a small church and spectacular views in all directions. The surrounding mountains are a hill walker's delight and crowd in on every hand but the landscape is dominated by precipitous Ben Arthur, also known as 'The Cobbler'. But as often as not it is the loch which catches the attention with its glittering waters and ever changing light.
