Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure stopping for lunch and refreshments en route to our resort hotel.

DAYS 2-3 At leisure with two included excursions. Warwick and Castle: We visit this historic county town and its world famous castle built in 1068 under the order of William the Conqueror. The stunning medieval castle sits majestically on a bend of the River Avon. Surround yourself in life behind the mighty walls through various xhibitions within the castle including the Kingmaker, where you can experience the preparations for battle and the refurbished Great Hall & State Rooms, lavishly decorated now as then.

Cadbury World: We travel to Cadbury world at Bourneville where you can step back in time to witness the creation of the world famous Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, first launched in 1905. Along with offering its visitors the unique opportunity to explore and discover the history behind chocolate there is the opportunity to learn about the origins of the Cadbury business - one of the world's largest confectionery manufacturers.

LAST DAY Travel Home: We depart stopping en route for lunch and refreshments arriving home in the evening.

The Aspect Hotel, Appleby Magna

Situated on the outskirts of Tamworth, midway between Birmingham and Nottingham, this relaxing and comfortable hotel is an ideal location for a leisure break. Rueben’s cafe bar is located next to the bright restaurant, and offers comfortable seating for guests to gather. The 95 rooms are bright and modern with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift and ground floor rooms. There are additionally 3 disabled rooms.
