Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure visiting Oxford & Burford: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and sightseeing in Oxford. We then continue to the pretty Cotswolds village of Burford before making our way to our weekend hotel.
DAY 2: Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Stow-on the-Wold and Broadway: After breakfast we depart for the village of Bibury which 19th Century artist and poet William Morris called “the most beautiful village in England”. After a brief visit we continue on to Bourton on the Water, often referred to as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” where the River Windrush flows through the village under numerous little bridges.We continue on to the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold before our final stop of the day in Broadway with its wealth of mellow stone houses and picturesque old inns.
LAST DAY Travel home via Bath with optional* guided tour: We depart for home, stopping for lunch and sightseeing in the Georgian City of Bath; nourished by natural hot springs, Bath offers a unique experience with stunning architecture and iconic attractions. You can also take an optional guided tour of this lovely city, arriving home during the evening.
