Travelling eastward to the Georgian port of Poole, now a leading yacht harbour. Then on to Dorset's largest resort, Bournemouth.

Full Day Excursion to Dorchester, Bridport and Abbotsbury
Dorchester is the lively County Town of Dorset - "Casterbridge" in Thomas Hardy's novels. We also visit the ancient town of Bridport and the village of Abbotsbury with its famous Swannery on The Fleet, the lagoon behind the amazing Chesil Beach.Russell Hotel

Ideally situated on the sea front with commanding views of Weymouth Bay from many bedrooms. The hotel has recently been extensively refurbished. Most of the 80 bedrooms are small but comfortable and all have private bath or shower and WC, TV, central heating and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a bar with dance floor and entertainment five evenings per week. Guests may also enjoy the facilities of the Prince Regent Hotel (next door and under common ownership).
