Description

Wonderful times of the year to visit this spectacular resort area. Sandwiched between two towering mountains and surrounded by natural beauty. There’s time to both relax and explore.

Itinerary

Day 1 Departure
A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue through France to our overnight hotel.

Day 2 Travel to Riva Del Garda
After breakfast we continue through France, Germany and Austria before entering Italy and on to our hotel in Riva Del Garda for our 5 night stay.

Days 3-6 At leisure
At leisure in Riva Del Garda which you’ll find is an ideal spot for a relaxing break – strolling along the waterside promenades or cruising away to see some of the charming villages dotted around the lake. During your stay here we have an exciting package of optional excursions available.

Optional Excursion
Full Day Lake Garda A full day optional excursion round Lake Garda, visiting the best of the beautiful towns and villages set on the shores of Lake Garda. You have the opportunity to take part in an optional wine tasting.

Optional Excursion
Full Day Venice A full day optional excursion to Venice, the ancient and famous city of canals, St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and much, much more. From the coach park we make our way into Venice by private boat. To round off a truly memorable day, your courier will also offer an optional guided tour of Venice and optional gondola ride. (Please Note: Dinner will not be provided if the excursion to Venice is taken). This excursion is not suitable for wheelchair and mobility vehicle users.

Optional Excursion
Full Day Verona A full day optional excursion to the magnificent old city of Verona, famous for Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. We also offer an optional guided city tour of Verona. Bordered on three sides by the River Adige, the streets of Verona’s ancient centre follow the layout of the Roman city. From the Romans to Mussolini via an unlikely 4th. Century African patron saint, Verona’s streets, houses, churches and piazzas combine to tell the fascinating story of this small Northern Italian City.

Optional Excursion
Half Day Riva del Garda tour An optional half day lake cruise of Riva del Garda, visiting Limone and Malcesine with free time for lunch and shopping.

Day 7 Travel to overnight hotel
We head north today, retracing our steps on the way to our last night together in France in our chosen hotel.

Last Day Travel home
We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.

Hotel Garda/ The Savoy Palace Riva del Garda
We stay for 5 nights at the Hotel Garda or The Savoy Palace. Both hotels have an excellent location. Hotel facilities include a bar, restaurant, & swimming pool. All bedrooms en-suite with air conditioning, hairdryer, TV & telephone.
