With 3 full day included excursions to some truly picturesque places this is a must Gold holiday for Crusader customers looking for that something special.

Itinerary

Day 1 Departure
A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue southwards past Boulogne and into Le Touquet to our hotel.

Days 2-4 At leisure
At leisure in Le Touquet with three included excursions.

Included Excursion
Full Day Etaples, Montreuil & Hesdin A full day included excursion along the picturesque valley of the River Canche, visiting Etaples, with the opportunity of taking an optional boat trip on the estuary. We continue to the walled town of Montreuil-sur-Mer, once a port, now land-locked and the setting of Hugo’s Les Misérables”. Our final visit is to Hesdin, a charming village with Flemish-style architecture.

Included Excursion
Full Day Abbeville, Le Crotoy & St Valery A full day included excursion to Abbeville and the bay of the River Somme. Our first stop is Abbeville, famous for its wooden-framed-buildings. A “must” is the church of St Vulfran with its Flamboyant Gothic façade. We continue to the resorts of Le Crotoy and St Valery, situated amid the marshes of this naturalist’s paradise. There will be an opportunity for an optional journey on the historic narrow-gauge steam train which follows the line of the bay.

Included Excursion
Full Day Amiens A full day included excursion to Amiens, capital of Picardy and site of France’s largest cathedral. A unique feature of Amiens are the “hortillonnages”, gardens on small islands in the river, cut through with narrow canals on which you can take an optional ride in a traditional punt.

Last Day Travel home via Boulogne
We depart for Boulogne, France’s busiest fishing port, famous for its walled High Town with quaint cobbled streets, where there is time for sightseeing. We then depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.

We stay for 4 nights at the modern 4 star Mercure Grand Hotel Le Touquet, facilities here include bar, restaurant, indoor swimming pool, sauna & spa. All bedrooms are en suite and have TV & hairdryer.
