Five days in Paris will give you enough time to really explore this amazing City. There are so many things to see and do - experience the culture, the gastronomic delights and of course the romance.
Itinerary
Day 1 Departure
A morning departure to Dover for our ferry crossing to Calais. We continue through Northern France to arrive in Paris early evening.
Days 2-4 At leisure
At leisure in Paris with one included excursion and three optional excursions. During your stay your driver/ courier will advise you of the range of optional excursions available to you, giving you the opportunity to really experience the magic of this beautiful city. Our representative in Paris will be pleased to advise you on these and any other matters concerning your holiday.
Included Excursion
Full Day Tour of Paris with optional Seine cruise An included sightseeing tour of Paris. Departing after breakfast we take in the most famous sights; Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, Opéra and many more. There will be the opportunity to take an optional Seine River cruise on the famous Bateaux Parisiens. Our coach will then take you to the Opéra area of the city, close to the premier Parisian store Galeries Lafayette, with free time to explore the shops before returning to the hotel.
Optional Excursion
Evening Paris by night & the Latin Quarter An optional excursion seeing Paris by Night & the Latin Quarter on the Rive Gauche (Left Bank). Choose from hundreds of intimate little bistros ranging from traditional French to Oriental or join us in a French restaurant for an evening meal with drinks and entertainment included. We return on our coach past some of the major sights of the city.
Optional Excursion
Full Day Versailles tour An optional tour to Versailles. First we follow the River Seine to the beautiful town of Versailles. Here you choose how to spend your time. Take refreshments in town and afterwards stroll in the 250 acres of classical gardens or, for an additional charge, tour the main parts of the Palace, the “Palace of Palaces”, the official residence of three Kings, the Hall of Mirrors, State Apartments and the Royal Chapel. Full details from your courier. (Please Note: Any entrances are not included).
Optional Excursion
Evening Montmartre tour An optional tour to Montmartre, the Artists’ Square and Pigalle. We drive into the city and the Pigalle district. Here you can see the famous Moulin Rouge where colourful and exotic shows are held every night. From Pigalle you will have ample time to take the funicular railway up to Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur, the highest part of the city with a wonderful panoramic view. Time is given to visit the basilica or maybe have your portrait sketched in the Place du Tertre, the artists’ square or take a drink and soak up the atmosphere of the area.
Last Day Travel home
We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
