Description
We begin the day at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, built in memory of William Lever’s wife, housing a wonderful collection of art, furniture and paintings. In the afternoon we visit the unique village of Port Sunlight, set up by William Hesketh Lever in the 19th-century to house his soap factory workers. Enjoy a guided coach tour of the village, taking in the wide variety of architectural styles and buildings, before exploring the Museum, Edwardian Cottage & Soapworks Exhibition. While you’re in Port Sunlight, you may wish to take the opportunity to have a bite to eat, wander through the nearby locations featured in the iconic BBC series ‘Peaky Blinders’, and grab a selfie in the spots where Tommy Shelby and his friends stood. (Entry included.)
