Paignton, Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Cruise

Its mild microclimate makes it one of the best places to holiday in the UK.Monday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning and make our way south with a stop en route, arriving at the hotel late afternoon where tea/coffee will be available on arrival.

Tuesday: This morning we board the coach for a visit to nearby Exmouth and Teignmouth.

Wednesday: This morning we hop aboard a steam train at Queens Park Station, Paignton for a 30-minute journey to Kingswear, with breathtaking views of the coastline and countryside along the way. Once in Kingswear, we cross the River Dart as foot passengers on the ferry to Dartmouth where we enjoy a 1 hour circular river cruise, passing fantastic scenery including Kingswear & Dartmouth Castles, Ditisham village, Britannia Royal Naval College and Greenway House – once the home of Agatha Christie.

Thursday: Today is your free day to explore Paignton as you choose.

Friday: We bid a fond farewell to the hotel staff this morning as we make our way back to Hugglescote, arriving back this afternoon.Marine Hotel
Situated on a level position, directly opposite Paignton Seafront and a short walk to the town centre, you could not ask for a better located hotel in Paignton on the English Riviera. The hotel is light, airy & modern, with a comfortable conservatory which boasts a panoramic view of the seafront and pretty Torbay Park.
All 53 bedrooms are en suite with tea/coffee making facilities & television. There are sea view rooms available on request. The hotel does have a lift but there are some steps to some rooms after the lift (especially sea view rooms).
