Windsor Castle & Hampton Court Palace

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and offers an extraordinarily rich and varied day out.
Throughout its history, Windsor Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. The late Queen spent most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions.
Admission to Windsor Castle includes entry to the magnificent State Apartments, St George's Chapel and the Semi-State Rooms.
Set on the Thames, Hampton Court Palace is a jewel among English royal palaces. Highlights include the vast Tudor kitchens where huge feasts were prepared and served to Henry VIII and each of his six wives in the adjoining Great Hall. You can also visit the sumptuous Georgian state and private apartments overlooking the famous Fountain Court. The beautiful surrounding gardens have been restored to their 17th century layout with parterres and fountains, including the world's oldest maze and largest vine.Sunday: We depart the Travel Centre this morning at approximately 7.30am and make our way south to visit Hampton Court Palace, where entrance is included and there will be time to explore at leisure. We leave here around 3.30pm, before making our way to our hotel where dinner is included.

Monday: After breakfast this morning, we head for Windsor Castle, where once again admission is included. Later, around 4.30pm, we depart Windsor and head back to Leicestershire.Hilton Reading
