Description
Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and home to 2000 islanders, the Isles of Scilly are often described as 'a world apart'. Lying 28 miles off the Cornish coast, the Isles are a unique sub-tropical haven for a variety of wildlife.

Our base is the Bell Rock Hotel, Hugh Town, on St Mary's, the largest and most vibrant of the inhabited islands. The Island capital, Hugh Town is an ideal base to enjoy mile upon mile of coastal paths and nature trails or to visit the other islands, all of which are accessible from the quay.

Please note: Valid proof of identity is required to travel on the Scillonian III. This can be passport, photographic driving licence, citizen card, bus pass issued by your local council or a signed credit or bank card.
Those passengers that cannot walk reasonable distances will be limited in their enjoyment of this holiday and you will be responsible for handling your own luggage between the coach and ferry.
Itinerary
Sunday: We depart Hugglescote this morning and make our way south with stops en route to our overnight hotel, The Queens Hotels in Penzance.

Monday: After an early breakfast, we board the coach to make the early morning journey to the ferry port to catch The Scillonian III for our crossing over to St Mary’s. This is where our coach leaves us as we make the 2 hours 45minute journey over to the Island. We stay at the Bell Rock Hotel, St Mary’s, situated in Hugh Town, the capital of St Mary’s for the next 4 nights. A luggage transfer will be provided by a local operator whilst we make the 10-minute walk to the hotel.

Tuesday: Today we enjoy an introductory guided tour of St Mary’s with a local coach operator. Included commentary will provide an insight into life on this island, the most populous and largest in the archipelago. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure relaxing in the hotel or walking along the beach.

Wednesday: We depart the hotel this morning for a visit to Tresco Abbey Gardens by boat. After you disembark the boat, there will be a walk of approximately 10-15 minutes, at a leisurely pace to the gardens. There is no dinner included at the hotel tonight.

Thursday: Today, why not spend the day exploring Hugh Town? It is situated between two beaches and is home to a variety of shops, art and craft galleries and restaurants. This afternoon why not enjoy a stroll along the Garrison walls high above the town or simply relax on Portcressa or Town Beach.

Friday: Today it is time to leave the tranquility of the island and make the short walk to the ferry terminal. Once again, we make the journey over to the mainland and meet our waiting coach. We then make our way to The Queens Hotel, Penzance in time for a late evening meal.

Saturday: We depart the hotel and make our way back to Hugglescote, making a lunch stop en route, arriving back late afternoon.
