Enjoy time free in Barnard Castle, a historic market town in the Durham Dales which takes its name from the castle around which it grew. We then make the short journey to nearby Bowes Museum, a fabulous listed building which resembles a French Chateau. With its fascinating and romantic history, the museum today houses an internationally renowned collection of British & European art, including the famous 18th century Silver Swan, in addition to formal gardens, a gift shop and a café.

Beamish Museum
Step back in time at Beamish, offering a unique insight into what life in the North of England was really like during the turn of the 20th-century and beyond.
