Itinerary
WS Railway
Take in the glorious and varied countryside on board the West Somerset Railway. Our memorable journey takes us past charming villages, Dunster Castle and the cliffs and coast of the Bristol Channel, with distant views of South Wales, through to Minehead. Here you will have some time to explore and have a bite to eat before we return to the hotel. Minehead is home to some lovely beaches, a fishing quarter and an historic harbour. There's a 14th Century church on the hill and the much-photographed historic Church Steps, or you could take a walk down the tree-lined Avenue and visit the selection of tea rooms, pubs and independent shops in the town centre.

Horse-Drawn Cruise
We journey to the charming town of Tiverton, where there's time free to have a bite to eat before we head to the banks of the Grand Western Canal to experience a cruise like no other aboard a Horse-Drawn Barge. Expect a magical time on your trip getting to know the staff and heavy horses, taking in the sights, sounds and wildlife of the canal as you are pulled along by a powerful and elegant shire horse.

RHS Rosemoor
This morning we visit RHS Rosemoor, a delightful garden that blends formal and informal plantings to magical effect. Explore the rose gardens, the long borders, the exotic gardens, and all the seasonal delights at this stunning garden. Please note: some areas of the garden such as the Woodland Walks have limited accessibility. Afterwards we have free time in the popular seaside resort of Ilfracombe, a pleasant town with grand Victorian villas, whitewashed houses and a quaint heritage harbour and quayside. It is home to a host of world-famous attractions including the aquarium and the unique Tunnel Beaches, as well as Damien Hirst's sculpture, Verity.
