Longleat has long been one of Somerset's most popular attractions and it's easy to see why! The stunning stately home is a sight to behold, and it's also home to the famous Safari Park which opened in 1966 as the first drive-through Safari Park outside of Africa! Home to a wide range of fascinating species, there is so much to discover, and be sure to explore the famous maze!
Enjoy a magical journey through the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stopping off in olde-worlde Wells, on our way to the county town of Taunton with a visit to the award-winning, family-run Sheppy's Cider Farm for a tasting and a Cream Tea! (2024 only)

Crusader Holidays uses an interchange system, taking place at either Beaconsfield Services (M40), South Mimms Services (M25/A1M) or Thurrock Services (M25).

Here you may have to change to your holiday coach and we are renowned for ensuring that this is smooth and efficient.

The holiday coaches typically depart from Beaconsfield Services at 11.15, Thurrock Services at around 09.30 and South Mimms Services at 10.30. Some customers find it more convenient to join direct at the interchange, please let is know when booking if this is the case.

Enjoy a majestic day out to Longleat - home to the UK's first and most famous Safari Park. Highlights include the Deer Park, Wolf Wood, Tiger Country and the magnificent lions in Lion Country. There's so much to see and do here, and we'll make sure there's time to get lost in the famous maze and admire the stunning parkland around the stately home. Home to a beautiful mosaic landscape, along with two of Britain's oldest showcaves, this is England's largest gorge. With spectacular Pinnacles and beautiful caves, it truly is a natural gem just waiting to be discovered. Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903. A city definitely on the rise, Newport has all the usual suspects when it comes to shopping and eating out thanks to the pristine retail and leisure complex Friars Walk. Yet amid the big high street names, Newport has retained some awesome independents, and more are opening their doors all the time. You can walk from one end of Newport's compact city centre to the other in little more than 10 minutes - or a lot longer if you stop at thecathedral,museum and art gallery, andtraditional covered market. More details from your driver.Wells & Sheppy's House of Cider (2024 only)After breakfast all aboard for a short drive to Wells, England's smallest city! Cobbled streets burst with olde worlde charm and the magnificent medieval cathedral is a must see. Early afternoon depart for Taunton for your 30 minute guided tasting followed by 2 Scone Cream Tea. Entrance, tasting and Cream Tea included. Returning to the hotel late afternoon.
