Join us as we head to Northern Ireland for our Great Craic in Coleraine Tour. Our base Coleraine is the informal capital of the Causeway Coast, a thriving, bustling town of historical significance. During this wonderful tour we will journey in the steps of giants as we travel through the breathtaking beauty of the Causeway Coast to visit the iconic UNESCO World Heritage site the Giants Causeway. Walk on the world-famous stones, see the basalt columns and soak up the dramatic views of the rugged coastline. Visit Bushmills for a guided tour of the home of Irish Whiskey and Ireland’s oldest licensed distillery. Visit the compact, walkable, walled city of Derry on a wonderful, guided tour with free time afterwards. Journey to The Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to visit the Walled Gardens at Glenarm Castle, dating from the 18th Century the Walled Garden is situated in the grounds of the ancestral home of the McDonnell family, Earls of Antrim. Wander scented pathways with borders filled with colour, dotted with sculptures and water features. Browse the shops or take a break in the tea rooms in the old Mushroom House. Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 07.00am for our journey to Cairnryan in Scotland to board the 15.30hrs Stena Line ferry to Belfast in Northern Ireland, re-join the coach as we disembark to continue our journey to Coleraine and the Lodge Hotel, arriving in time for our evening meal, enjoy a warm Irish welcome with tea/coffee while your bags are taken care of.
Tuesday
Following breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Derry to meet our city guide who will join us on the coach to take us on a knowledgeable and fun tour of the city, followed by free time in Derry.
Wednesday
Following breakfast, we travel to the Bushmills Distillery for a Whiskey Tour of Ireland's oldest licensed distillery. In the afternoon travel to the Causeway Coast to visit the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site the Giants Causeway.
Thursday
Following breakfast, we journey to The Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to visit the Walled Gardens at Glenarm Castle before returning for free time in Coleraine.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, travel to Belfast for free time to explore, allowing time for lunch before we head to the Port to board our afternoon Stena Line Ferry back to Cairnryan. Re-join the coach as we disembark to continue our journey home.
