Description
New York • Mystic • Newport • Providence • Williamstown • Keene • Littleton • Boston
The seemingly boundless diversity and preserved quilted woodland of New England plays host to a tour which ranges expansively over some of the most picturesque areas of the United States. The splendour of the unspoiled landscape and the villages nestling in the wooded hills proclaims the age old virtues of grace and elegance extravagantly subscribed to by North America’s richest families. With the excitement of New York at the start and the intellectual hub of Boston at its conclusion, this combination makes for a wonderful holiday.

We begin with Titan HiTours Home Departure Service to London Heathrow Airport and your scheduled Virgin Atlantic flight direct to New York. On arrival our coach will transfer you to your hotel, the Holiday Inn Midtown hotel.
DAY 2 NEW YORK
After a city tour with an expert local guide, the remainder of the day is free to make your own discoveries. A journey to the top of the Empire State Building is certainly worthwhile. Greenwich Village is lively by day or night and Fifth Avenue is a shoppers’ paradise. You may wish to take a boat trip around the harbour or a helicopter ride for a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty.
DAY 3 NEW YORK • MYSTIC
A further free morning to enjoy New York. After lunch we board our coach and travel through Connecticut to Mystic and the well appointed Hilton Mystic Hotel.
DAY 4 MYSTIC • PROVIDENCE
This morning we have included admission to Mystic Seaport, a living replica of a 19th century waterfront community during the days of sail. Along the wharf are shops and businesses including the bank, printer, tavern and ships chandlery. We travel on to charming and picturesque Newport, Rhode Island. Once the exclusive resort of the rich and famous, it is now the sailing capital of the world. We have arranged a tour to enable you to appreciate Newport’s wonderful setting and wealth of architectural styles, including the mansions of the Astors and Vanderbilts. Late in the afternoon we journey northwards to Rhode Island’s capital, Providence, and the Westin Providence Hotel.
DAY 5 PROVIDENCE • WILLIAMSTOWN
Our first stop is Old Sturbridge Village, a resting place for travellers since colonial days and now a recreated farm village typical of the period (1790 to 1840). Everything is very authentic and even the general store is stocked with items an early 19th Century shopper would have expected. This afternoon we travel onto Stockbridge in the heart of the Berkshires. Located in the heart of the town is the historic Red Lion Inn, a famous staging post since the 18th century. Later today we travel onto Williamstown, home of Williams College. Our hotel is the Williams Inn.
DAY 6 WILLIAMSTOWN • KEENE
Today promises a scenic feast as we travel through some of the most beautiful areas of Vermont with stops at picturesque villages including Old Bennington, Manchester and Weston. We stop at Woodstock, where urban elegance and sophistication have characterised the pretty village since the 18th century. This afternoon we travel southwards to Keene and the Best Western Hotel.
DAY 7 KEENE • LITTLETON
Today we journey to dazzling Lake Winnipesaukee where we board the famous Mt Washington steamer for a cruise around this stunning lake. We continue our day touring through the White Mountain region, described by many as the most beautiful wilderness area in New Hampshire, passing through Bear Notch, which offers breathtaking views of Mt. Washington. Later today we arrive in Littleton and our hotel the Hampton Inn.
DAY 8 LITTLETON • MONTPELIER • LITTLETON
This morning we travel to Montpelier for a tour of Morse Farm, a family run farm that has been traditionally making Maple Syrup for over 200 years. Enjoy a sample in the sugarhouse before we take time to explore Montpelier, America’s smallest capitol city. This afternoon we travel back to Littleton for further free time to take in the splendour of the White Mountains.
DAY 9 LITTLETON • BOSTON
We depart Littleton this morning for Boston, travelling via the historic villages of Concord and Lexington. It is here that in 1775 the minuteman of the patriotic militia raced the British Red cross in the first shots of the Battle of Independence. We continue to our hotel for the next two nights, the Holiday Inn Boston Somerville, within easy reach of downtown Boston.
