A 30-strong fleet of international tall ships is to return to Liverpool to help the city celebrate the 10th anniversary of its year as European Capital of Culture. This event offers a fantastic opportunity for visitors to step aboard many beautiful tall ships from across the world, while thousands of crew members meet and compete with their counterparts, bringing international friendship and culture to the forefront of what is sure to be an event like no other. The magnificent masted vessels will sail up the river to mark the start of the official Biscay Tall Ships Regatta. International Mersey River Festival will also be taking place, offering a three day celebration of Liverpool’s wonderful, historic waterfront.

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, heading northwards with suitable stops for lunch and refreshments. Arrive at the hotel late afternoon, in good time to freshen up before dinner. Dinner included tonight and Sunday night. Breakfast each day.
Day 2 – Transfer into Liverpool to experience this stunning spectacle and there is the fantastic opportunity for visitors to step aboard many beautiful tall ships from across the world. 2018 also marks the 10th anniversary of Liverpool’s Capital of Culture and the subsequent celebrations mean there is even more to see and do during your northern city break. International Mersey River Festival will also be taking place, offering a three day celebration of Liverpool’s wonderful, historic waterfront.
Mid evening return to the hotel with supper.
Day 3 – There is so much to see in Liverpool – The World Museum for the Terracotta Warriors - Submerge yourself in Liverpool’s historic seafaring past at the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Found in the heart of Albert Dock, it’s the ideal location to explore and uncover the development of the world famous port. Boats, paintings, ship models, ship wrecked objects, uniforms and more bring Liverpool’s nautical history to life. There are other museums and art galleries in central Liverpool, many of which are free to visit.
The British Music Experience is dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain. State of the art effects and iconic memorabilia show how music has influenced the last 70 years of British culture. Located in Liverpool’s historic Cunard Building, visitors travel through eight interactive exhibitions on a trip through British music history against a social and political backdrop. Coach transfer back to your hotel with time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 4 – Enjoy breakfast before departure and return to interchange with comfort stops on the way.
