Description
The three counties of Worcestershire, Gloucester & Herefordshire are a picture in the springtime when the fruit trees come into blossom and the daffodils are out. Based in a historic hotel in the centre of Worcester, this lovely springtime break includes a steam train ride and river cruise.
Itinerary
Day 1- After joining your holiday coach, it's onward to your historic hotel in Worcester stopping en-route for refreshments. Arriving at the hotel around mid- afternoon and a local guide awaits to give you an introduction to the area with a short guided walk. Dinner, bed & breakfast included.
Day 2 & 3 - At leisure in Worcester with TWO included excursions.
Trains, Boats & Blossom Trail
Our first stop will be Toddington where we take the train journey on the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway to Cheltenham. We have some free time in this beautiful city before we meet our local guide in Evesham for a 2 hour guided coach tour of the Blossom Trail. We start at the plum town of Pershore, before continuing through Fladbury & The Lenches. Onto Worcester for an included boat trip on the River Severn before returning to the hotel.
Three Counties Tour
Meandering through some delightful historic towns with stops in Tewkesbury, with its ancient Abbey and the pretty towns of Upton-On-Seven and Ledbury, famous for its ancient market hall. Continuing onto Hereford with free time. A stop in Victorian Malvern overlooked by the beautiful Malvern Hills en route back to Worcester is a must.
Day 4 - After breakfast, depart for a drive through the Cotswolds with a stop for lunch and onwards to interchange and your local joining points mid even
