Itinerary
DAY 1 - After joining your holiday coach, you travel to Newark, stopping for the opportunity of lunch or refreshments. Continue to your hotel in West Yorkshire to arrive late afternoon. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
DAY 2 - After breakfast a short transfer into the centre of the Medieval City of York for a day at leisure to explore. Any trip to Yorkshire wouldn't be complete without visiting the spiritual capital of the North. Magnificent York is a beautiful compact riverside city famous for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage dating back 2000 years. Within the ancient walls and twisting atmospheric streets you will find an array of sights to discover such as the iconic York Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre and a host of museums, shops, charming tea rooms and traditional pubs.
DAY 3 - You have a choice today -A day in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, renowned for its floral beauty and elegant spa buildings including The Royal Pump Room Museum, Mercer Gallery and Royal Baths. Harrogate's premier spa building, the Royal Pump Room, is built over the site of the strongest sulphur spring in England and the water can still be sampled.
Alternatively you may like to spend the day in York for a second day of sightseeing.
DAY 4 - After breakfast depart for Holmfirth, as featured in "Last of The Summer Wine", where you have a chance to see Sid's café and Nora Batty's house. Continue south arriving home during the evening.
