Description
Croyde is a magical village on the west facing coastline of North Devon, lying on the south west coast path near to Baggy Point, a National Trust area offering unrivalled, far-reaching coastal and sea views. The village is well known for its beach, Croyde Bay, due to its wide, sheltered nature making it a perfect spot for bathing and watching the local surfers. Venture in from the sea front and marvel at Croyde's charming 17th century architecture with a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Itinerary
Arrival Day: After joining the coach via one of our departure points or our executive Door2Door service, you will be introduced to your professional driver and whisked away in comfort to delightful Croyde Bay. We aim to arrive between 3-4pm so that you can relax before your evening meal and settle down for your first night.

Full Day Excursion: Today we travel to our first stop of Barnstaple, an ancient market town lying on the River Taw, boasting many shops and a number of interesting buildings including the parish church, St. Anne's Chapel Museum and the Three Tuns Tavern. A visit to Barnstaples Pannier Market is a must, operating six days a week through most of the year the market offers a huge range of exciting fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts and a fantastic range of antiques and collectables and is proud to be voted in the top ten food markets in the country! We leave Barnstaple and journey back towards the coast to Woolacombe Bay, a beautiful and lively village which holds the 'England for Excellence Gold Award' for best resort. Take a stroll along its three miles of golden sandy beaches which lie between Morte Point and Baggy Point, a pure delight voted best British beach.

Free Day in Resort: Free time to explore and enjoy your surroundings at Croyde Bay Holiday Resort. Take advantage and relax in the heated indoor swimming and spa pools, play a spot of bowls or tennis or enjoy the day quizzes and night time entertainment programmes held in the resorts array of bars, entertainment rooms and cafes.

Full Day Excursion: Today we head to Great Torrington, an ancient settlement set in the midst of rolling countryside and extraordinarily sited on an inland cliff top with steep drops down to the River Torridge below. Torrington boasts a large selection of visitor attractions including its Pannier Market, the Torrington Heritage Museum, situated next to the Pannier Market, showcasing the diverse history of this ancient market town and the beautiful RSH gardens. Our visit includes entry to the Dartington Crystal Factory Experience where you can learn over 40 years history of Dartington Crystal and watch the award winning craftsmen at work. On our return we visit the ancient working port and thriving market town of Bideford set on the banks of the stunning river Torridge.

Departure Day: Make the most of the wonderful food that is on offer for breakfast this morning. After a fabulous holiday, it's time to bid farewell to your hosts and Croyde Bay for your journey home, taking wonderful memories with you.
