Torquay has something to offer everyone: by day you can relax on one of the clean sandy beaches, explore the bustling harbour and marina and the excellent shops or if you are feeling more active there are lovely walks, or activities such as sailing, bowls, golf or fishing. By night you'll be spoilt for choice: there are theatres, night clubs, cabarets and discothèques and of course you'll see the lights illuminating the promenade reflected across the beautiful bay. The many local attractions include Paignton Zoo, Babbacombe Model Village, Kent's Cavern, Torbay Steam Railway and Cockington thatched village. Full Day Excursion to Exmouth & Sidmouth We visit East Devon and the elegant resorts of Exmouth and Sidmouth, travelling through the attractive seaside towns of Teignmouth and Dawlish, then along the estuary of the River Exe passing Exeter, and then down the eastern side of the river.

Regina Hotel
Wonderfully situated on the harbour-side, with the principal shops and theatre a gentle stroll away. The ground floor was extensively refurbished in 2008. Part of the Regina is particularly interesting as the home for three years of the poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning. All 68 bedrooms have central heating, private bath or shower and WC, hairdryer, colour TV with radio channels and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a newly refurbished lounge bar overlooking the harbour, air-conditioned restaurant and bar lounge with dance floor and entertainment most evenings. Lift serves most rooms (except Barrett Browning's former house). Limited car parking with a public car park across the road.

Cavendish Hotel
Situated in the heart of 'Belgravia', Torquay's main hotel area, 450 metres from the seafront and approximately 20 minutes' walk from the shopping centre and marina. The Torbay Land Train service runs regularly from near the hotel. The hotel is comprised of three connected buildings and has two lounges, a ballroom, two bars and three separate lifts. The extensive downstairs restaurant provides waiter-served choice menus. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools and two sun terraces.
