Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais.We continue through Belgium and Holland to our overnight hotel in Germany.
DAY 2 Travel to Wroclaw: We continue through Germany, crossing the old border into the 'East'.We travel past Dresden on our way to the pretty Polish city of Wroclaw, famous for its magnificent architecture and unique character, where we will spend our second night.
DAY 3 Travel to Krakow. Tour of Wroclaw & Tour of the Jewish Quarter of Krakow: We have a short orientation tour of Wroclaw before we continue through Poland to our next stop at the beautiful city of Krakow. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Jewish Quarter. Following this we recommence our journey to the hotel en route taking in many of the famous and beautifully-restored sights.We arrive at our hotel and check-in for the next two nights.
DAY 4 At Leisure with one included excursion.
Auschwitz: We visit Auschwitz, a very moving experience, probably the most notorious of the war time concentration camps. Very few people are unmoved by the horrors that were inflicted here.
DAY 5 Travel to Zakopane with optional* excursion - Wieliczka Salt Mines: A morning at leisure in Krakow or alternatively join us on an optional* excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, a centuries-old tourist attraction that cannot be compared to anything else in the world. The mines are richly decorated with salt carvings, made by miners as long ago as the 18th Century. In the afternoon we head for Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains for our 2 night stay.
DAY 6 At leisure in Zakopane with an optional* excursion to Zakopane & an optional* Folklore Show: We tour Zakopane and the surrounding Tatra Mountains. Later we offer an optional* traditional folklore show with drinks included.
DAY 7 Travel to Berlin: Leaving Zakopane we return through Poland to the German capital of Berlin with its many famous landmarks so often seen during the Cold War years.
DAY 8 Travel to overnight hotel. Optional* sightseeing tour of Berlin: After breakfast we have free time or alternatively join us on an optional* sightseeing tour of Berlin. Following the tour, we leave Berlin and head for our final overnight hotel
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.

This hotel has close links to history surrounding the famous outstanding artist, playwright, poet and interior/furniture designer Stanislaw Wyspianski. All en suite bedrooms have lift access, and are complete with satellite TV and hairdryer
Sabala Hotel, Zakopane
Steeped in history spanning over a hundred years this hotel offers rooms furnished in regional style with some original elements including wooden beams and rafters. All 44 en suite bedroom offer TV and hairdryer, but do not have lift access. Leisure facilities include swimming pool and sauna.Welcome drink and porterage are included at both of these hotels.
