Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and sightseeing in Newark en route to our hotel.
DAYS 2-4 At leisure: At leisure in Harrogate, situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Enjoy two included excursions, optional guided tours and one optional excursion.
Brontë Country & Haworth: Visit where the Brontë Sisters lived at the parsonage, now preserved as a museum (admission not included). In addition you may like to join us on an optional* guided walking tour of Haworth.
York: Visit the historic city of York, a compact walled riverside city with museums, galleries and the stunning York Minster. In York you may like to join us on an optional* guided tour.
Optional* excursion to Yorkshire Dales National Park: This optional excursion visits the Yorkshire Dales National Park with its glorious scenery, travelling via Settle, Hawes & Aysgarth Falls.
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home, stopping en route for lunch in Stamford, arriving home during the evening

Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate
Built in 1840, this traditional Victorian hotel was once the subject of much drama as the hiding place of the author Agatha Christie during her famous disappearance in 1926. Each of the 136 luxuriously decorated en suite bedrooms have hairdryer, satellite TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel features a superb bar, an atrium style restaurant and lift. Porterage, welcome drink and tea/coffee after dinner are included.
