DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure stopping for lunch and refreshments en route to our resort hotel.
DAYS 2-6 At leisure with three included excursions. Newquay is Cornwall's most popular and liveliest resort due to its magnificent beaches and variety of attractions. Climbing up behind the beaches are high cliffs with exciting caves. The best caves can be found at Porth Island, Newquay's original settlement.
Padstow, Tintagel & Boscastle: Today we start by heading to the picturesque fishing town of Padstow. Nestling on the beautiful Camel Estuary, the town with its colourful working harbour, surrounded by pastel washed medieval houses is an attraction in itself. We then continue to Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. Here an Iron Age castle and settlement preceded the 13th Century castle whose ruins can still be seen. On our return journey we visit Boscastle, this village is a conservation area amongst some of the most beautiful countryside within the British Isles, and is one of the few remaining unspoilt harbour villages in Cornwall. Designated an “area of outstanding beauty”, the National Trust own and care for the beautiful medieval harbour and surrounding coastline.
Lands End & St Ives: Join us as we head south to discover the scenic delights of Cornwall. We visit Lands End, one of the world's best loved landmarks. It's a place of almost mystical beauty where the might of the Atlantic meets the towering cliffs of Cornwall - a place where nature is still one of the big attractions. Discover a myriad of wild flowers, soaring seabirds or even seals coming out to play.We continue to St. Ives where life is cradled around the harbour.Wander along the maze of tiny cobbled streets lined by fishermen’s cottages, with a breathtaking seaside vista to greet you at the end of each one.
Bays and villages, Looe, Polperro & Mevagissey: Spend today touring the secluded bays and quaint villages of South East Cornwall. Explore the beautiful countryside from rugged shores to calm valleys, stunning views to ancient woodland and associated wildlife that this area has to offer. We head for the beautiful coastal towns of Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey small, unspoilt fishing villages with a colourful history of boat building and smuggling, which still retain their traditional character.
